Rajmata Vijayaraje
Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, (RVSKVV) Gwalior (MP) was established on August
19, 2008. The University has been, since then, catering to the multi farming
needs of farming community Agriculture Development, ICAR and other stockholders.
It is a new, but fast emerging promising University in the field of agriculture
and allied sciences.
The mandate of the
University is teaching, research and extension with a view to evolve
appropriate solutions and technologies in the field of agriculture. It has a
network of five colleges (four Agriculture and one Horticulture), five Zonal
Agricultural Research Stations (ZARS), four Regional Agricultural Research
Stations (RARS), six Special Research Stations (SRS), nineteen Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and
twenty-eight All India Coordinated Research Projects (AICRPs) spread across six
agro-climatic zones in twenty-six districts of Madhya Pradesh. In addition to
this, other ongoing projects/schemes i.e.
non-plan, plan, tribal sub-plan and adhoc projects
are also in operation.
