OBJECTIVES

1.    Imparting education in agriculture and other allied branches of learning and scholarship

2.    Furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution of research in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and other allied branches, with particular emphasis on temperate and cold desert Agriculture.

3.    Undertaking the extension education of such sciences for the benefit of the rural people of the state.

4.    Such other purpose as the University may from time to time determine.

MostSignificant Achievements/ImpactsoutoftheICARDevelopmentGrant Provided to the University:

1.      Upgraded UG and PG classrooms by way of improvement in the teaching methodologies and aids including multimedia/ smart classrooms.

2.      Provided computer and Wi-Fi facility to scientific staff and PG students to have easy access to internet and data analysis.

3.      Equipments have been purchased for laboratory in order to facilitate the PG students improved research.

4.      Establishment of fully equipped diagnostic laboratory at the referral Veterinary Hospital which also helps to expose students to hands-on training and entrepreneurship development.

5.      Publications of books/ practical manuals and e-books from time to time. Improvement in the teaching methodologies and aids including multimedia/ smart classrooms.

6.      Providing and creating basic student amenities and infrastructure like hostels, sports facilities etc.

7.      CCTV facilities established in the Committee rooms of all the Dean Offices for supervision of students viva voce and seminar as a step of improvement in education.

8.      PG students were sent to in various advanced laboratories of different prime institutes of India for their scientific exposure.

9.      50 nos. of students were placed in different organizations.

10.  PG Computer lab established in Division of Statistics and Computer applications
