Successful organization of one 21 days
winter school and one short course of 10 days duration sponsored by ICAR as per
the details given below:
v ICAR winter school on Advance
techniques in Pharmaco-Dynamic studies: An analytical
functional molecular and Cyto-Genotoxicity Approach
by Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology.
v ICAR short course on Strategies in
Development of functional livestock products by Department of Livestock
Product Technology.
2.
Successful conduction of ICAR 21nd All India
Entrance Examination to bachelor (AIEEA-UG-2016) and successful conduct of
DUVASU entrance examinations 2016 for admission of BVSc&AH,
MVSc, PhD and Diploma programmes.

12,598 number
of clinical cases treated, 2036 clinical biological samples of blood, milk,
skin, stool/faeces, urine were analyzed in TVCC apart from several clinical
camps organized in different villages and students alongwith
faculty members attended all these activities. Therefore, we were able to
provide hands on training to students.

Due to strengthening of infrastructural
facilities, especially laboratories, we provided scientific and technical
advisory and clinical services to Etwah Lion Safari, Etawah, National Zoological Park, Delhi,
UP Livestock Development Board and UP State Animal Husbandry Department.
v Due to strengthening of infrastructural facilities under experiuential learning programmes, 1,160,747.5 litres of
cow milk, 35,058.5 litres of Buffalo milk produced at ILFC and students were
imparted hands on training in value addition to milk and meat and also trained
in poultry farming including hatchery operations. 19,050 Day old chicks of
different breeds were distributed to farmers for Backyard poultry farming. In
another unit of ELU, 2700 Quintals of compounded feed and 60 Quintals of
Area-specific Mineral Mixture was produced by
Department of Animal Nutrition.

Department of Veterinary Pharmacology.

All India Network Programme on Diagnostic
Imaging And Management Of Surgical Conditions In
Animals of Indian Council of Agricultural Research by Department of
Veterinary Surgery.

All India coordinated research project
for epidemiological studies on FMD
v)
FMD control programme of Govt. of India
vi)
Extra-mural project of ICAR on Isolation,
purification and characterization of antimicrobial peptide of gaumutra in indigenous and cross breed cows in Department
of Veterinary Biochemistry.
vii)
ICAR network project on production
augmentation through physiological and nutritional interventions.
5.
Provided better amenities to students
and faculty amenities including internet facilities in all the hostels,
departments and offices of the University;

Large number of students are being
attracted for postgraduate programme (MVSc) from
outside states
7.
University has developed the capacity
and strength to organize the summer/winter schools and short courses in
frontier areas of veterinary science.
8.
Eight
students qualified ICAR JRF examination, 17 ICAR NET Examination and 06
qualified ARS Preliminary Examination.
9.
Participation
of students in Inter-University youth festivals and sports meet etc. and large
number of faculty members attended national conferences and four of the faculty
members attended international conferences.
10.
Very
good research publications have started appearing from the research work
undertaken by MVSc students in high NAAS rating
journals.
