Most Significant Achievements/Impacts out of the ICAR Development Grant Provided to the University:

Provided to the University:

              i.      Impact of modernization and strengthen of instructional farm /CRC

After receiving the budget for modernization and strengthen of instructional farm /CRC, the leveling of farm was done with lazar leveler and also drainage facilities was developed at farm. Irrigation channels layout road, farm / machinery building, boundary wall also constructed.As a result farm productivity increased significantly. Almost 20 % increase in productivity was noticed. Similarly CRC was also developed as per norms for research trials. Post Graduate Students and scientist trials and research are now being carried out successfully.

            ii.      Examination Hall (Gandhi Hall):

Construction of Gandhi Hall facilitated the Examination and events like Convocation, Cultural activities etc. because of which all university level activities are being performed with great ease and comfort. It has facilitated the integrated approach of examination at university level which conserves the involvement of human resource and money. In this year Rs. 24.255 Lakh were used from ICAR development grant for repair and renovation of Gandhi Examination Hall.

Simultaneously during convocation, the security measures are implemented in a fool proof manner and the entire function is performed with highest sanctity and grace. It also saves lot of man power and unnecessary expenditure on tent etc. during repeatedly organized events in all weather conditions. As a result, the quality of the exam and the organized events has been improved.

           iii.      Indoor Sport Facility (Gymnasium):

ICAR development grant enabled us to build and strengthen the Gymnasium which is providing an excellent opportunity to students and faculty to improve their physique, health, peace of mind, attitude and positivity which ultimately improved the environment of education, student behavior and performance. In this regard establishment of Fitness Gym was initiated under the ICAR Development Grant for Strengthening Student's Health, inaugurated by DDG Education Dr. N.S Rathor, & ADG Education Dr. P.S Pandey.

           iv.      Strengthening of Experimental Facilities in Labs:

In order to provide better understanding of various disciplines of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Veterinary Sciences, ICAR development grant has facilitated the strengthening and upgrading of various laboratories with the help of which the faculty is able to provide maximum exposure to students about practical know how and make them skilled. It has motivated the students in appearing and clearing GATE, NET, JRF, SRF and other examinations for higher studies though the process is slow but will get momentum soon.

            v.      Eighteen varieties of different crops have been developed by the university.

           vi.      Seed Production: University produced nucleus, breeder, foundation, certified seed of different varieties of various crops. Such as Wheat, Rice, Pulses, Turmeric, Taramira, TC-Banana etc.

          vii.      Various IPM Modeled were developed by the university to control/management the disease and insect of different crops like: Rice, Pigeon pea, chickpea, tomato, cabbage, mustered etc.

        viii.      Bio Agents: Several bio agents are being produced by the university to facilitate the farming community of this region. The details of the same are given below

           ix.      Establishment of video conferencing as a guest lecture facility via Webinars' inducing a world wide exposure of different universities to the students as well as faculty.

            x.      Video recording of the lecture and uploading the video on YouTube for easy and all time access for the improvement of education quality via smart classes approach.

           xi.      Organization of guest lectures-cum-trainings have been initiated on various aspects like IPM crop production, Plant protection, Horticulture (Fruits, Vegetables, spices, Medicinal, Ornamental and Aromatic Plants)Animal husbandry, Soil conservation etc.

          xii.      For much need entrepreneurship development, vigorous workshop-cum-demonstration of various skill development programs in fish culture, mushroom production, backyard poultry, post harvest management, fruit preservation and processing and organic farming etc. have also been organized.

        xiii.      University is maintaining single entry system and also maintains expenditure register, cash book, grant register.

        xiv.      University has implemented e-payment system to university's employees, contractors and suppliers etc. to make the system more transparent. It has also developed a double entry system in the financial year 2016-2017 as a small step towards digital India.

          xv.      Government eMarket (GeM) eTendering system is also adapted by university to make the procedure fast and error free.
